Weddings » Highlights and Reunions! (Photo Intensive)

by dietingfashion on June 8, 2012

This was a really long overdue post. May 5th, 2012 began with an early flight from Houston’s Hobby airport, flying to New Orleans. As always the first thing people notice about New Orleans is the humidity. The air was thick and without any breeze. To me, it’s still home (even though I reside in Houston now). The usual quick drive from New Orleans to Gulfport, Mississippi was a little delayed due to road construction (on a Saturday – you got to be kidding me). Instead of going straight to the in-laws place for outfit change and makeup touch ups, I headed to the shopping outlet.

Why?

Because I forgot my strapless bra! And shape wear.

We were late to Debbie’s wedding at Nativity BVM Cathedral. My husband was able to revisit fond memories of this Church. He attended Nativity BVM from first grade to sixth grade. It was good to be there with him and support Debbie and Mac’s union.

I have to give photo credits (besides the photo booth pictures) to my friend (and one of my groomsmen) Tobie Nguyen. All my photos were not good. His are so much better.

Photobooth Fun

Debbie’s wedding ceremony was from 1PM to 3PM. Reception was right across the street at 4PM. We made it to her reception however we could not stay long. I was not able to change because everything moved along so quickly. There was not enough time for me to drive to my in laws home and be back by 4PM for reception. We stayed at Debbie and Mac’s reception for about an hour. By 5PM, we had to leave for our next wedding, Thanh and Huy’s at 6PM.

The only cake I got to eat – It was good. Multiple fillings of chocolate and strawberries with angel cake, if I remember correctly.

Our Table #10 – I’m in the corner, nervously awaiting the Bride and Groom to make their way to our table for the toast. I was elected to give the toast at our table.

I had wanted to wear two different dresses, but being behind on schedule, I had to stay dressed in my first dress. Oh well. It worked out. I just changed my hairstyle and my makeup on the hour drive from wedding to wedding.

Two Great weddings! Two Great Parties! May both unions bring a life filled with happiness and success!

WOW! Two weddings in a day? That is awesome, and the cake for the 2nd wedding is gorgeous! I am glad you had a good time and I love photo booths! It’s so much fun at a wedding!

Both cakes were very pretty. I only was able to eat the 2nd one. The funny thing is they forgot to cut the cake! I kept on asking “When will they cut it?” The bride and groom didn’t even cut it! They were too busy partying. So the caterers did it.
