I am trying for my 3rd child, so I have been preparing by buying clothes a bit larger in size. I came across a BCBG Lane Maternity shirt that cost $130! I was like “I’ll wait for Gilt or even stalk Ebay for it.” Well over President’s Day, I noticed the same Lane shirt on bcbg.com. For $98. Yes pretty steep still but compared to the maternity one, I do save over $30.

Jewelry: Jewelmint, French Connection, Forever21
Oversized shirts have never really appealed to me until after having kids. The roomy size is great for covering the tummy section. Unfortunately most oversized shirts are very unfashionable. I get questions like “When are you due?” How far along are you?” Very damaging to my ego. When I noticed the maternity version, I lamented “Why something so fashionable cannot be made in regular sizing? Should I risk it and just buy the maternity version just at a smaller size?”
I was super excited to see BCBG had sense to make it in both women’s and maternity. I am going to try belting the shirt and wearing with skirts and see how my experiments turn out!

I think this shirt looks great and it doesn’t make you look expectant at all. I never ask women if they are expecting, it’s just not a good question to ask.
