Post Partum » Week 36 – The Jumpsuit

When I saw this BCBGMaxAzria peplum jumpsuit during the ShopBop Fall Sale, I knew I had to have it. My only concern was the sizing. I purchased a Medium (the largest size they had at the time) and I crossed my fingers hoping it would fit.

I was very surprised at the fit.

I still have to get this jumpsuit altered especially in the pant legs (too roomy) and alter in the top at the sides (my post pregnancy boobs are gone – so sad).

I think this jumpsuit is a great formal and professional outfit in one. The fit is perfect, the material is wrinkle free, and minimal alterations. I would love to wear this to a business meeting or even to date night (when will that ever happen?).

Keep an eye out for my next post on another jumpsuit. Unfortunately, it did not look as good and I had such high expectations for it.

Hugs » Swathed In Sparkles

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking time out to read my blog.

Indeed, I have been wanting a really nice sequin dress. I believe sequins are flashy in a very sophisticated and elegant way. Especially in an appealing color.

This is such a body hugging dress that I had to pull out the Spanx! This dress is really better made than the Zara Sequins dress (from this post). The Zara sequins dress is not as body hugging. It’s lined with a slinky material that rides up at the neckline. I had to repeatedly smooth under the lining of the collar. The sequins of the Zara was already being pulled and the threading was becoming loose with strands.

The BCBGMAXAZRIA Marta dress is beautiful. I love the nude, blush color. I believe this is the new hot trending color following the mint craze. I had purchased a size Small because the review said it runs larger. However, on me, it was hugging much more than I expected. Hopefully still has the Medium.

Casual Mom| Tee + Dress

I have been inspired by many designers and brands lately. I just want to purchase everything, but that’s not possible. Fortunately for me, my wardrobe has similar styles that I can put together an outfit.

Dress: BCBGMaxAzria Black Stretch Dress with Straps (very similar here and great boat neck style here)
Top: Stylemint Madison Tee (here)
Shoes: Seychelles Carousel Wedge Sandals (similar here, here, and here)

I have been LIVING in my Stylemint Madison tee. I love the quality and cut. However, it is a little on the short side! If I wear this tee with a pair of jeans, my belly button keeps making appearances. I had to check the Stylemint video of the Madison, and yes it is on the short side. I should have paid closer attention to the video.

The BCBGMaxAzria dress was purchased from Saks about 4 years ago, right after I had my 1st child. This dress motivated me to lose that baby weight. I love the stretch knit and the silhouette is gorgeous! I think it is a little long on me but it’s not that important as of the moment to get it altered. I do like the longer hem for a more relaxed feel like in the J.Crew catalog.

Oversized Striped Shirt + Pastel Denim

I am trying for my 3rd child, so I have been preparing by buying clothes a bit larger in size. I came across a BCBG Lane Maternity shirt that cost $130! I was like “I’ll wait for Gilt or even stalk Ebay for it.” Well over President’s Day, I noticed the same Lane shirt on For $98. Yes pretty steep still but compared to the maternity one, I do save over $30.
