Casual Mom| Tee + Dress

I have been inspired by many designers and brands lately. I just want to purchase everything, but that’s not possible. Fortunately for me, my wardrobe has similar styles that I can put together an outfit.

Dress: BCBGMaxAzria Black Stretch Dress with Straps (very similar here and great boat neck style here)
Top: Stylemint Madison Tee (here)
Shoes: Seychelles Carousel Wedge Sandals (similar here, here, and here)

I have been LIVING in my Stylemint Madison tee. I love the quality and cut. However, it is a little on the short side! If I wear this tee with a pair of jeans, my belly button keeps making appearances. I had to check the Stylemint video of the Madison, and yes it is on the short side. I should have paid closer attention to the video.

The BCBGMaxAzria dress was purchased from Saks about 4 years ago, right after I had my 1st child. This dress motivated me to lose that baby weight. I love the stretch knit and the silhouette is gorgeous! I think it is a little long on me but it’s not that important as of the moment to get it altered. I do like the longer hem for a more relaxed feel like in the J.Crew catalog.

Thank you for reading!

I'm a mom of 2 girls. I struggled to lose the baby weight the second time around and by blogging my struggles helped me deal with a lot of the stress. During my struggles, I had random strangers ask me "How far along are you?" or "When are you due?" I was embarrassed. Most of the time I told them the truth, that I had given birth X months before. There were a couple of times I lied and said what they wanted to hear. When I was at a normal weight, I then struggled to find what clothes fit me. Everything about fashion went out the door and I had to re-learn what clothes and sizes fit my post pregnancy body the 2nd time around.
