Petals| Pastel Pink + Flares

I finally got the guts to go to a neutral location for these photos. There were people walking around and I felt so strange self-photography myself. It took me longer than I expected, because I wasn’t used to the location. Also because of the shaded area, I had a hard time figuring out how to make the photos brighter. I hate using flash because I tend to blink!

Top: Petal Tank Top by LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls
Blazer: Banana Republic Striped Blazer
Bottoms: Ann Taylor Loft Lengthening Trousers
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Leather Pumps
Jewelry: Amritha Singh Turquoise Statement Necklace, Jewelmint Soleil Bracelet
Handbag: Chanel Jumbo Lambskin Classic in Turquoise

These Ann Taylor Loft trousers were from their 2011 Leg Lengthening line. It is very comfortable however runs larger than normal even at a Petite size. I normally wear a size 6 Petites in bottoms. Yet I am wearing a size 4 Petite.

I am adoring my Chanel Jumbo Classic handbag. The lambskin is so soft and buttery. But it scratches so easily. At least I am using it! The turquoise is such a different color. I am hoping to get more use out of it.

Thanks for reading!

I'm a mom of 2 girls. I struggled to lose the baby weight the second time around and by blogging my struggles helped me deal with a lot of the stress. During my struggles, I had random strangers ask me "How far along are you?" or "When are you due?" I was embarrassed. Most of the time I told them the truth, that I had given birth X months before. There were a couple of times I lied and said what they wanted to hear. When I was at a normal weight, I then struggled to find what clothes fit me. Everything about fashion went out the door and I had to re-learn what clothes and sizes fit my post pregnancy body the 2nd time around.

  1. Surprisingly, turquoise teal is the perfect year-round color and it looks so great with the pastels in your outfit! Also I think you need to start another blog dealing solely with blazers because you always seem to find the best ones! Is the BR blazer one and the same as this season’s seersucker? I’m on the hunt for a good seersucker blazer (and maybe even a suit…trying to realize my Brooks Brothers Country Club dream and all ;)…) but BR is always changing its fit so I am scared to order…
