With this outfit, I am entering my first Fashion contest hosted by Cute and Little. I love turtlenecks. I start pulling out all my turtlenecks as soon as Fall starts. I just can’t wait to wear my winter clothes. It doesn’t get too cold in Houston, unfortunately. I am pretty sure I get funny looks from people because I will wear a sweater when it’s 70 degrees outside. I just love cooler weather.
J. Crew fashions are to die for. They always have brights, brights! I got this turtleneck while J. Crew was having their 50% off all sale items. Thank goodness for that or I would not have gotten this turtleneck. The color is very pretty and feminine. I paired this top with a Floral Print scarf that just pops even more against the coral turtleneck. I didn’t know if I should have worn a lighter colored pants. The brown slacks didn’t show very well in the light. It looks more black in the picture.
I am going live outside my box and experiment more with brights. This challenge was pretty fun.

I love this this! This is like one of the first times I’ve seen an outfit post, so kudos to you! I am looking forward to more and good luck as you enter Kileen’s Colour Brigade! You look fantastic and thank you for putting me on your blogroll. It’s honourable to be put next to Jean from Extra petite! Thank you!
Thank you Bessie! You inspire me so much. You always show me that anything can be done.
Love your outfit…and love J.Crew as well:)
Thank you! Yes J. Crew has some great fashions. Where else do you like to shop? I’m always looking for fashion forward shops.
I love scarves. They are the perfect layering tool. I love how you used it in this look to add a pattern.

Thank you so much! Scarves are so versatile as a tool. I have 10 scarves but I’m planning to add more. Who knew scarves can just kick an outfit up a notch? =)
