I’m currently updating my kitchen and fell in love with the West Elm Classic Cafe Counter Stool. It is this rich walnut color with the Mid-Century design. We wanted a high back chair and no cushions for easy cleanups. At $199 each, it is pricey but not as expensive as other West Elm stools.
However, it is nowhere to be found in stock.
Stores have to order it. Online says 1.5 months for delivery. Say what?
Trying to find another stool to go with the aesthetic that we wanted was a challenge. Looking on Wayfair, Overstock, CB2, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and even Target yielded no results. It was the wrong color, or had cushions or had really bad reviews.
Luckily, searching on Target.com, showed a result for a similar stool with cushion. I pleaded with my husband to just ‘Go for it!’ He looked at the listing that said, ‘There’s an option for no cushion.’ It turned out to be a perfect dupe of the West Elm Classic Counter Stool.
It is a walnut color and is priced at $90 each. We are very happy with our chairs. It was very easy to put together. The chairs are sturdy and has adjustable feet to level the chairs.
