It’s been a little over a year since I started the Fresh Diet. I do like the convenience of it. I go online, choose the days I want to receive meals, choose which items I want, and just wait for the cooler bag the night before. I had the meals delivered every day for 2 months. In those two months, I went from 140 lbs to 130 lbs. This includes working out 1 day a week for an hour. I am now getting the meals 1 day a week just to tide me over when I do not have anything in the fridge. There are many days when I wake and nothing is appealing and I don’t want cereal.
My diet is a lot different than my husband’s and my kids. I already have to cook each person geared to what they like, that I do not have time to make myself something. Fresh Diet gives me an option out. I think it is not a bad deal. I try to catch specials they run around the holidays to get a discount on the plans.

I know I haven’t updated my posts in a while. The food is still being delivered daily. I have finished my first 31 days and lost 5-6 lbs. I am very happy. The clothes are fitting a lot better.
I recently found a Groupon deal for the same $29 a day and I purchase 25 days worth of meals. It was very easy to contact Fresh Diet to add the 25 new days to my account. I was able to select meals right away for the new time period.
I realized that I do like the meals but the meals are beginning to repeat itself. I am seeing the same meals appear every 2 weeks. I know I should try a new dish sometimes but I like choosing meals I am familiar with. I have noticed a change in how I eat.
I haven’t been eating as well as I used to. I’m cheating more often. Meaning I go out to eat more often. The foods are not as tasty as I remember. I don’t think quality is an issue with Fresh Diet. I think it’s just me. The regularity of these meals are making my taste buds wilt. I think I might just suspend the meals for several weeks and start it back up later.
Breakfast: The burrito was not rolled up. It was a 1/4 slice of green tortilla that was topped with eggs, bell peppers and cheese. Though it was good, I thought it was more like a pizza then burrito.
Lunch: I had a late lunch, almost at 4 pm. The salad was alot. I thought it had too much mozzarella. I felt like it was nothing but cheese and pasta and not enough baby spinach. It filled me up fine.
Dinner: I had cheated a snacked on my 2 year old’s pizza. It was 1 slice. Then 1 hour later I had the dinner. It tasted okay. The grilled chicken was a lot thicker than usual. The sauce had a bit of spice. What I love are the portabellas which is in most of my meals. The asparagus was good but the stalks are not large, very thin.
Snacks: I skipped these snacks because I already had the pizza.
Overall: Today’s meal was average. Everything is edible thank goodness but these are not the foods I would normally eat. I am not a big salad fan for lunch nor would I each sandwiches for lunch. I am realizing I might have to change my eating habits after this trial diet is over. There are some foods that are really good for my body.
Breakfast: I love egg bakes! It’s my new favorite thing. I think it is easy to make too. I wish I have the ability to cook well. I do not have the patience. And I am the only eating these foods. My two kids are too young and my husband is picky beyond words.
Lunch: Lovely lunch. I felt like it was an English meal. The food was light yet filling. All I was missing was a pot of tea. Unfortunately my baby lettuce salad on the side included a little bug on the leaves. It just left me shuddering to think if there were any other bugs in it.
Dinner: Vegitarian? wow… those meatballs were the best I have ever tasted! It was super soft and moist. It just melted in my mouth.
Snack 1: The skewers were delicous. It was tough but it was tender. Just okay.
Snack 2: Did not eat last night. I have the peanut butter cheesecake from the night before.
Overall: Continually loving the meals. Especially the part where I don’t have to cook anything.
Breakfast: I do not remember breakfast except scarfing it down in minutes. I was starving when I woke up.
Lunch: Skirt steak salad… chewy. Lettuce was wilting a bit. Had onions on salad that gave a kick… but was a bit too much of a kick.
Dinner: I went to Luby’s. So the turkey sausages are left for another time. Luby’s on the other hand… was plentiful and hit the spot for me.
Snack 1 and Snack 2: Have not yet been eaten.
Overall: Yes I cheated at dinner. i do feel like I need to cheat 1 day a week. When I know I’m on a diet, the diet itself won’t work. Sometimes cheating helps with progress. (or am I just deluding myself?)
