Open Knit » Dip Dye + Striped Fedora

After this Free People sweater post, my search for an affordable open knit sweater continued. I noticed this Spring and Summer the whole beach fun with the open knit wraps and shirts are picking up momentum.

This sweater is from LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls and what a beautiful top. The dip dye look is also very trendy and I adore the color. I think this top is also available in blue. The quality is okay. It is a lot softer to the touch compared to the Free People sweater. I have noticed that some threads are knotted oddly with the strands frayed and un-tucked into the stitching. Otherwise, not much else to complain. This sweater is loose fitted just the way I like it. Great with crops and sandals, and perfect for a stroll or playing around.

I'm a mom of 2 girls. I struggled to lose the baby weight the second time around and by blogging my struggles helped me deal with a lot of the stress. During my struggles, I had random strangers ask me "How far along are you?" or "When are you due?" I was embarrassed. Most of the time I told them the truth, that I had given birth X months before. There were a couple of times I lied and said what they wanted to hear. When I was at a normal weight, I then struggled to find what clothes fit me. Everything about fashion went out the door and I had to re-learn what clothes and sizes fit my post pregnancy body the 2nd time around.

    1. Thank you! I think LC Lauren Conrad also makes one in blue. I had thought about getting the blue one but I don’t like purchasing doubles.

    1. This summer has been very fun. Finally, my friends are getting married and settling down. I was getting worried. I don’t want to turn into a matchmaker.

  1. Ummm major matching kudos with those fabulous shoes and the sweater! Tangerine and beige look awesome paired together, don’t they? 🙂 I, too, am on a mild open weave/breezy knit kick — I got this insane hippied out Free People poncho http://www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?product=FREE-WK79&c=Sweaters+%26+Knits&s=C&d=Clothing on super sale at Shop Bop and I’ve been wearing it everywhere. Even at work. Over conservative floral dresses (my office is freezing).
