Neckline

Does your neckline define how you feel or what type of person you are?

I saw this picture and it is sparking a sentiment I have been longing to share.

1. Plunging Neckline
What does this say? Is it classy? Is it sexy?
It very much depends on the dressy, presentation and the person wearing the dress. I like it on Pippa. I personally cannot pull that off.

2. V Neck
The sister to Plunging. V Neck styles are sexy that says “I’m here but if you want more, you need to get to know me better.” I think V- necks is universally appealing to all body types, whether you’re busty or not. It all depends on the other accents of your top and how you accessorize.

3. Boatneck
This season I have been seeing a lot more boatneck necklines, but more as a layering effect. It works for a more laid back, even fun look.

4. Scoop
The casual look gets an update. Most tops with a scoop is usually a basic tee or dress. Add a scoop to create a more adventurous look. I think scoop necks speak to a person who doesn’t need to hide anything, who is interested in many things and isn’t afraid to try something new.

5. Crew neck
Do you think this is a conservative neckline? I don’t believe anything is conservative. This neckline is the most basic. It is useful because of its simplicity.

Playing around with different necklines, does give me certain impressions on what a person is like by how they dress. Are they conservative, adventurous, confident etc.

What is your favorite neckline?

I'm a mom of 2 girls. I struggled to lose the baby weight the second time around and by blogging my struggles helped me deal with a lot of the stress. During my struggles, I had random strangers ask me "How far along are you?" or "When are you due?" I was embarrassed. Most of the time I told them the truth, that I had given birth X months before. There were a couple of times I lied and said what they wanted to hear. When I was at a normal weight, I then struggled to find what clothes fit me. Everything about fashion went out the door and I had to re-learn what clothes and sizes fit my post pregnancy body the 2nd time around.
