New Orleans is my hometown and I miss it so much. Mainly, it’s the food I miss! It was good to be back and visit the places I normally hung out at. I’m drooling as I look at this post!

Always bustling

Iced Cafe Au Lait
I have an unhealthy obsession with Central Grocery’s muffulettas

Charbroiled Oysters
Soft Shell crab
My New Orleans trip ended here. If you haven’t been to New Orleans, plan a trip and go! There’s a different vibe with New Orleans. The culture is very rich and you won’t believe the food!
SewPetiteGal is a supermom with an knack for DIY on just about anything! From bracelets to necklaces, to even a removable peplum, SPG is so hands on talented. This month, SPF hosts the Petite Fashion Challenge #17 – Candy Colorized.
The Challenge: Candy Colorized
Take a bowl full of colorful candies (M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, jelly beans, etc.), close your eyes, and draw 2-3 pieces. Now use those colors (+ a neutral of your choosing) to form the basis for your ensemble.
**Extra brownie points if you post more than 1 colorful ensemble or if you add a DIY element
My worst color combo nightmare: Green and Red.
How am I going to NOT look like a christmas tree!?!?!?
Why am I wearing glasses? Because I have pink eye! I got pink eye from my mascara. It was a Sephora sample from Dior. I think I’ve used it only a handfull of times. But did you know that mascara only lasts for 6 months? I did not know that. I have had this mascara for almost a year. Well it gave me pink eye.

I thought long and hard about this purchase. After scouring Ebay for about 2 months, I finally made a purchase. The seller had listed this sold out purse on Ebay. I had wanted to purchase it right away after I had it authenticated by the ladies of The Purse Forum.
I actually forgot about the auction which ended around the time I was away for my sister in law’s graduation. Lo and behold, the purse reappeared and was marked down. I jumped at the chance and purchased it!
Welcome home…
Celine Tri Color Mini Luggage Tote
What a beauty she is! The seller actually purchase this Celine from Marshalls! And I was about to cry when I saw the price tag attached to the Celine tote. The seller purchased it at a STEAL! I need to scope out my local Houston Marshalls and T.J. Maxx! Who’s with me?!

I am about a week late with this post, but I wanted to share a very memorable Father’s Day this year. I have two little girls and many times they want to play “girlie” games like tea party, dressy up or princesses. My husband would roll his eyes and leave me (helpless, hehe) with the girls.
My biggest problem with holidays and celebrations is what to get my husband. We do not really need anything. We’re a very open couple. If he wants something, he purchases it himself. I’m the same way.
So I decided to purchase LMFAO tickets which had Far East Movement opening up and Quest Crew performing with LMFAO. I think the show was very good and the guys of LMFAO have so much energy.
Sorry for the blurred pics. We were very far away and no DSLR cameras were allowed inside the Toyota Center.
Megan’s Father’s Day Card Inside was a picture of her and a heart she drew (the heart looks like a jelly bean – her effort is so cute!)
Emma’s Father’s Day Card Inside was a picture of her and a bunch of scribbles
How did you spend Father’s Day? Any gift recommendations for next year?
