At week 18, my weight decreased to 149 lbs. So far with dieting and exercise, I have lost 4 pounds. I am able to eat about 1500 calories per day. Mostly I have to cut out carbs in order to meet that goal. It’s been hard, very hard.
I exercise 5 times a week, 30 minutes cardio + 30 minutes strength training. I have been noticing that my hips and lower back ache more after I run. Unfortunately this is probably still the residual effects of childbirth. So no more running. I’ve taken up the elipitical for now. The amazing thing is that I burn more calories on the elipitical than on a treadmill. Go figure.
I never really liked the elipitical because I always felt like it does not wittle down my waist. I feel like my abs get a better workout when I run. However I was told if I want to get really good ab definition then I need to do the Stair Master. If you plug in Stair Master on My Fitness Pal, 30 minutes will burn 304 calories which kicks Elipitical and Treadmill’s butt!
Starting this week, I’ll alternate Stair Master, Treadmill and Elipitical.
Keep it up everyone! We can lose weight and shape up together!

I am unfortunately one of those women who do not lose their baby weight magically after giving birth. When I had my first born, it took me 10 months to completely lose the baby weight. It took me even longer to lose the baby weight the second time around – 23 months! So with my third pregnancy, I decided to continue my exercise regimen. However, even after 8 weeks post partum, I haven’t lost a pound.
My last weigh in before I gave birth set me at 153 lbs. My baby was born at 7 lbs, so I was 146 lbs and I thought I would continually drop the weight as I was breastfeeding. For those first time mamas, breastfeeding is supposed to help you lose the baby weight. Breastfeeding not only did not help me lose the weight, but I gained it all back.

I took the pictures above at 8 weeks just to document my weight gain. As of right now, I am 17 weeks post partum. I’m going to take pictures this week to see if I’m dressing my new body correctly. Prepregnancy I was a size 6. Now I’m a size 12.
I’ve been cutting out carbs like Gatorade, Soda, bread, pasta, and rice. I try to exercise 4 times a week, alternating Les Mills Combat and running on my treadmill. One iPhone app I’m really loving is My Fitness Pal. If you are also working out, connect with me on MFP: dietingfashions.
Let’s motivate each other to our goal weight and shape our bodies!

My 2 year old daughter will be a future fashion blogger. Can you tell by the way she poses?

Name: Emma
Age: 2
Likes: Pink, Ice Cream, and Cinderella
Dislikes: No one touches my blankie!
Motto: Call me Princess Emma.

The kids at daycare actually do call her Princess Emma. She sure knows how to pose!

Thanks for reading!

When Emma was younger, I purchased these caps from Etsy.com. They are sooo cute and comfy looking. I adore these caps on her. Too bad she outgrew them. Boy does she grow fast. Since it’s getting colder, stock up on these cute caps for your kids. This Etsy seller is from Canada so expect 6 weeks until you get the product (time knitting and shipping). It is worth the wait.

My little one who’s 22 months old developed a fever in less than 4 hours. She was fine all day long but when around 9PM she was at 102.4 degrees. I gave her Tylenol but her fever kept rising. This is the first time that had ever happened. I never had a medicine not work. I knew I had Motrin somewhere. My pediatrician told me when fevers get real high, give Tylenol and Motrin at the same time. In this case at 11 PM, her fever crept up to 104.4. After giving her Motrin, within 30 minutes, her fever was down to 103.1. I’m relieved but I’m still going to call the doctor in the morning. I guess I’m not going to sleep at all tonight.
